About the position

The District Sales Manager is responsible for supervising the sales staff within their district, which includes Gainesville, Buford, Duluth, and Lawrenceville. This role involves establishing the region's sales plan, ensuring sales and profitability targets are met, and managing accounts receivable performance. The manager will also focus on developing the sales team through training and coaching, while fostering a safe and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises associates including staffing, training, coaching, performance management, and problem resolution.
• Develops and educates sales staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, and company policies through monthly sales meetings.
• Attains targeted sales as determined by business goals and operates within budgetary guidelines.
• Demonstrates awareness of customer needs and establishes policies to effectively meet those needs.
• Develops interpersonal relationships that encourage openness and trust internally and externally.
• Provides professional assistance when working with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
• Participates in industry organization meetings and develops major account presentations.
• Analyzes competition and attends industry shows and events.
• Interacts with customers and vendors in a friendly and timely manner, ensuring accurate responses to inquiries.
• Manages customer complaints, issues, and emergencies.
• Establishes and monitors major account prospect lists and processes customer rebates and incentives.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
• 4-6 years of foodservice sales and team lead or supervisory experience
• Valid driver's license

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Sales, Marketing, or a related area
• 6-10 years of foodservice sales supervisory or management experience
