About the position

The District Sales Manager at Vulcraft of New York, Inc. is responsible for leading the sales offices in Norristown, PA, and Piscataway, NJ, while overseeing the Philadelphia and New York City Metro sales territory. This role focuses on building strong customer relationships, developing a high-performing sales team, and implementing effective marketing and pricing strategies to maximize profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the sales team in the Philadelphia and New York City Metro territory.
  • Build and sustain strong, engaged relationships with customers to maximize long-term profitability.
  • Coach and develop team members through training and individual coaching.
  • Develop effective territory marketing, volume, and pricing strategies.
  • Maintain high standards of service through professional communication with internal and external customers.
  • Be willing to travel as required and work more than 40 hours per week when necessary.
  • Uphold safety policies and standards at all times.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in the joist and deck and/or steel construction industry.
  • Experience in reading architectural and structural drawings and project specifications.
  • General understanding of the construction process.
  • Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Previous supervisory experience
