About the position

The District Sales Manager at EquipmentShare is responsible for expanding the customer base by building relationships with contractors and construction company principals. This role involves leading a sales team, ensuring maximum sales performance across multiple locations, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and inspire others to perform to their highest potential, maintaining a professional appearance at all times.
• Responsible for building a team, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and developing personnel.
• Conduct reviews and performance evaluations to produce positive results.
• Assist location personnel in training for all system requirements.
• Ensure maximum sales performance at multiple locations.
• Conduct monthly reviews with sales representatives to understand their territory and business trends.
• Identify and recommend areas for improvement and future revenue opportunities, estimating profit projections.
• Monitor sales metrics including fleet utilization, territory coverage, new account production, rate achievement, aged receivables, and customer satisfaction.
• Effectively communicate information to keep the sales team informed of issues and provide action items to improve issues with urgency.
• Establish reasonable and measurable goals with well-defined expectations for sales team members.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures while complying with legal regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the rental industry or a similar field.
• Minimum of 10 years in a leadership, coach, or mentor role.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
