About the position

United Contractor Services is a leading national subcontractor specializing in high-quality commercial drywall construction for large-scale projects across the country. Our reputation has been built on our commitment to excellence, teamwork, and innovation in every project we tackle. We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Div 8 & 10 Product Sales Representative to join our team. This role focuses on selling Division 08 (Doors, Frames, Hardware) and Division 10 (Specialties, including Toilet Partitions, Toilet Accessories, and Safety Accessories). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction products and the ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with clients. The role requires local and out-of-state travel.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, target, and secure new business opportunities in the construction industry.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, architects, project managers, and other key decision-makers.
  • Provide product demonstrations, presentations, and technical information to potential clients.
  • Manage a designated sales territory with a mix of local and out-of-state accounts.
  • Regularly travel to meet with clients, attend trade shows, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain an organized schedule to optimize customer visits and maximize sales impact.
  • Gain a deep understanding of Division 08 and Division 10 construction products, including their specifications, applications, and competitive advantages.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to effectively position our offerings.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing questions, concerns, and issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and post-sale support.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the construction or building materials industry.
  • Knowledge of Division 08 (Doors, Frames, Hardware) and Division 10 (Specialties) products is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a knack for building rapport and closing deals.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel locally and out of state as required (up to 50% travel).
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
