About the position

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Intern will support the DEI team at Mastercard in executing various initiatives and projects aimed at promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization. This internship provides hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, allowing the intern to learn about DEI strategies, policy implementation, and stakeholder engagement. The role involves planning, coordinating, and executing DEI initiatives, assisting with events, and collaborating with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).

Responsibilities

  • Support the DEI team in executing various initiatives and projects.
  • Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of DEI initiatives, including events and steering committee meetings.
  • Provide general administrative assistance, including scheduling meetings, taking notes, and preparing reports.
  • Maintain DEI resources and gather feedback from Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).
  • Work independently to develop and map out solutions.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or accelerated master's degree program graduating December 2025 or beyond.
  • Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field with a strong interest in DEI.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Expert PC skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access; programming and coding ability is a plus.
  • Experience with Tableau, Domo, or other comparable business intelligence tools.
  • Understanding of risk management disciplines.
