About the position
The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) Spring Intern will support the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) in advancing its DEIB initiatives as part of a comprehensive three-year plan. This internship is designed for students who are passionate about public service and wish to gain meaningful work experience while contributing to important DEIB efforts within the department.
Responsibilities
- Assist in advancing DEIB initiatives as part of the DCNR's three-year DEIB Integration Plan.
- Support DEIB education efforts within the department.
- Engage in community involvement activities related to DEIB.
- Contribute to fair funding and accessibility initiatives.
- Highlight untold narratives of DCNR lands.
- Assist in career pathways and workforce development efforts.
Requirements
- Current full-time enrollment in a bachelor's degree or advanced degree program in Sociology, Human Resources, or Communications.
- Completion of freshman year.
- Good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher).
- Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university.
