About the position

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Division CFO to oversee financial operations and ensure compliance with corporate policies and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. The role involves maintaining financial accuracy, developing internal controls, and providing timely financial information to the Division President and corporate offices. The Division CFO will also supervise staff and ensure efficient operations within the division.

Responsibilities

• Establish internal controls surrounding sales, purchasing, construction, land development, A-P, job starts, and closing process.
• Review compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Provide timely and accurate financial information to the Division President and corporate offices.
• Oversee all aspects of the division's homebuilding operations.
• Ensure division personnel are trained in the JD Edwards system.
• Implement efficient policies and procedures with proper internal controls.
• Ensure accuracy of financial reporting processes and timely closing of books.
• Monitor land deals and ensure they meet corporate requirements.
• Investigate changes in development and S&B budgets.
• Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner.
• Analyze and implement new policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent.
• Seven to ten years of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.
• Ability to sit for the majority of an 8-hour workday and perform physical tasks as required.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience in the home building industry preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and attention to detail.
