About the position

The Division CFO at D.R. Horton, Inc. is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the division, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, and providing accurate financial information to the Division President and corporate offices. This role involves establishing internal controls, managing financial reporting processes, and ensuring that all personnel are trained in relevant systems. The Division CFO will also analyze and implement policies to enhance operational efficiency and support the division's growth.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ultimate responsibility for providing timely and accurate financial information to the Division President and corporate offices.
• Oversee all aspects of the division's homebuilding operations and interact with all departments.
• Ensure that division personnel are adequately trained in the JD Edwards system.
• Establish efficient policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Ensure the accuracy of the division's financial reporting processes and compliance with corporate guidelines.
• Monitor development and S&B budgets, ensuring adequate backup for amounts and investigating changes.
• Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner to enhance company goodwill and profit.
• Analyze, improve, and implement new policies and procedures to keep up with technological advancements.

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent.
• Seven to ten years of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written or oral form.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.
• Ability to sit for the majority of an 8-hour workday and perform physical tasks as required.

• Prior experience in the home building industry preferred.
