About the position

The Division Supply Chain Manager at Parker Hannifin Corporation is responsible for overseeing the materials and services within the division, focusing on optimizing processes, people, and technology. This role involves managing the supply chain activities, ensuring effective production planning, and driving lean enterprise systems to enhance operational efficiency. The manager will lead the S&OP process, establish supplier relationships, and implement inventory management strategies to support manufacturing and customer service goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the direction and daily activities of the division's materials and services.
  • Manage the materials function considering manufacturing capacity and workload schedules.
  • Establish and maintain premier customer service standards.
  • Lead all Supply Chain Management activities within the division.
  • Establish preferred supplier selection criteria based on evaluations of price, quality, and delivery.
  • Implement standard/automated re-order procedures and develop crisis management programs.
  • Negotiate long-term contracts in coordination with group staff and policies.
  • Manage operational inventory to ensure adequate stocking levels for production items.
  • Facilitate the S&OP Process and manage strategic production planning practices.
  • Integrate the division with electronic interfaces throughout the supply chain.
  • Manage transportation logistics for efficient product distribution.
  • Promote team concepts and provide leadership through coaching and mentoring.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of managerial experience in supply chain management.
  • 4-year college degree in business, engineering, or materials management required.
  • MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Professional Certification such as APICS, ISM, or other certification in supply chain management preferred.
  • Possess analytical and technical skills to understand business practices and recommend automation opportunities.
  • Advanced computer skills and understanding of electronic data processing systems.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Innovative mindset with a strong embrace of lean enterprise principles and practices.
  • Practical experience in implementing lean technologies and practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
