About the position

The Division Vice President of Nursing Operations at HCA Healthcare is responsible for overseeing the deployment of nursing initiatives and processes across the division. This role acts as a key interface for cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic objectives. The position involves evaluating projects, guiding resource allocation, and collaborating with nursing analytics to track the impact of initiatives on key nursing metrics. The Vice President will engage with facility leadership to identify operational needs and develop action plans accordingly.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure efficient and effective deployment of nursing initiatives and processes.
  • Act as a key interface for cross-functional initiatives and responsibilities such as staffing and scheduling.
  • Evaluate projects or initiatives for strategic fit with the organization's objectives.
  • Guide the allocation of human, financial, and technological resources.
  • Develop a division framework and strategy to prioritize, delegate, and execute initiatives that align with enterprise strategy for nursing operations.
  • Collaborate with Nursing Analytics to track the impact of initiatives across key nursing metrics.
  • Engage regularly with facility leadership and staff to identify unique operational needs and assist with development of action plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience in hospital operations.
  • 5+ years of experience in hospital analytics preferred.
  • Ability to use database software for reporting and report generation.
  • Intermediate/advanced features of spreadsheet software for data analysis.
  • Expert knowledge of clinical systems that support operational efficiencies related to clinical nursing initiatives.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a senior leadership role within healthcare operations.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
