About the position

The Divisional Digital Marketing & Graphic Design Coordinator at The Salvation Army is responsible for executing digital marketing strategies that enhance the organization's brand and support its mission. This role involves managing and updating multiple websites, coordinating graphic design projects, and driving digital marketing campaigns across various channels. The position requires collaboration with different departments and external vendors to ensure effective communication and promotion of initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead graphic designer for The Salvation Army Western Division, handling requests from operating units.
  • Manage and update the Divisional website and related corps websites, ensuring information is current and accurate.
  • Oversee day-to-day website update requests, including writing copy and creating navigational links.
  • Drive digital marketing efforts and campaigns, supporting the Senior Director of Marketing & Communications.
  • Create custom donation and registration pages through the Classy platform and track relevant data.
  • Develop engaging content for websites and social media platforms to attract visitors.
  • Support digital campaigns and assist operating units using Classy.
  • Manage digital projects and oversee work from outside vendors.
  • Promote digital initiatives as required by The Salvation Army.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, digital marketing, communications, journalism, PR, or equivalent required.
  • Two to three years of related experience preferred.
  • Experience with AP style required.
  • Advanced skills in digital marketing and communications, including web content management systems.
  • Outstanding abilities in Adobe Creative Suite/Creative Cloud, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.
  • Intermediate knowledge of HTML is a plus.
  • Good written and spoken communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Understanding of search engine optimization and ways to improve site rankings.
