About the position

The Divisional Digital Marketing & Graphic Design Coordinator is responsible for executing digital marketing efforts that enhance The Salvation Army's brand and support its mission in the Western Division. This role involves managing and updating multiple websites, coordinating graphic design projects, and driving digital marketing campaigns across various channels.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead graphic designer for The Salvation Army Western Division, handling graphic design requests.
  • Manage and update the Divisional website and corresponding corps websites, ensuring information is current and accurate.
  • Drive the Division's digital marketing efforts and support the Senior Director of Marketing & Communications in planning campaigns.
  • Create custom donation and registration pages through the Classy online donation platform.
  • Develop engaging content for websites and social media platforms to attract visitors.
  • Oversee project work from outside vendors and manage digital projects, including online promotions.
  • Design printed promotional materials to support Development Department initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Marketing & Communications on local advertising efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, digital marketing, communications, or a related field required.
  • Two to three years of related experience preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a plus.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite/Creative Cloud, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Outstanding abilities in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.
  • Intermediate knowledge of HTML is a plus.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters and maintain effective working relationships.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with search engine optimization and improving site rankings.
  • Familiarity with AP style.
