PURPOSE OF POSITION ETHOS Business Development are the sales machine that drive relationships and connections with clients and communities. These folks are excited to find, qualify and close business, and drive service and performance at all levels of operation. Serves as key link between sales staff, clients, and industry contacts for full-service fulfillment of DMC, event and consultation services with an emphasis on client goals and community development. Client Solicitation and Management: Qualify leads and develop creative program strategies with a focus on community development and client goals Provide exceptional customer service through the creative development and fulfillment of program content. Responsible for increasing overall revenue by developing key relationships with new accounts (hotel, client, CVB and partners) and growing existing assigned accounts while prioritizing delivery of outstanding customer service and financial profitability Maintain accurate reporting in the CRM as necessary to client prospecting and relationship development. Funnel potential future business needs and/or referrals to other ETHOS or partner offices, with a focus on building long-term relationships with all accounts. Post event follow up and relationship maintenance with clients via phone calls, LinkedIn, email and other forms of communication. Actively participate in regularly scheduled sales strategy meetings with Director and/or Principal. Regularly update hoteliers and clients on new community offerings, venues, services and destinations we serve Industry Events, Sales Missions, FAM's, Site Inspections: Promote and represent ETHOS Event Collective and destination at national industry events, tradeshows and conferences, sales missions, presentations and events, industry networkers and supplier visits as required by Principal inside and outside typical work-week hours. Participate in site inspections as required by clients inside and outside typical work-week hours. Participate in FAM's and hotel projects as required by hotels and Principal inside and outside typical work-week hours. Organize FAM's for clients, directly oversee all local sales-related special projects, including, but not limited to: local client events, hotelier appreciation events, sponsorship and promotional commitments, and planning/execution of sales events with various hotel partners both locally and nationally. Establish and maintain positive working relationship with vendors, CVB and industry consortiums. Budgeting and Program Management: Establish budgetary guidelines and maintain minimum margin expectations through program development in accordance with company goals. Work closely with Event + Design Manager to produce proposals and maintain control over the program design and budget throughout the sales process. Proposal reviews with EDM and Principal for sales and budgeting strategy. Follow all accounting guidelines for invoices, internal and client financials, vendor payments, post-program reporting, time sheets, payroll and expense reports. Develop and maintain positive, strong, effective working relationships with industry partners. Up sell additional services and/or products and incorporate community giveback opportunities where possible. Maintain program information in CRM relating to contact information, hotel information, budgets and expected revenue, communication notes, account notes and program history. Work on-site at events and hotel pre-cons- duties may include managing transportation, meet and greet service at airport, décor and entertainment set-up, food and beverage set-up, and audience control; always representing ETHOS in a positive light, according to the company handbook and dress code. Procure, package and deliver locally made or sourced client gifts and amenities.
