About the position

The DME Warehouse and Sanitation Technician is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the warehouse, ensuring the cleanliness and proper functioning of medical equipment. This role involves various tasks including cleaning, disinfecting, testing, and servicing medical equipment, as well as maintaining accurate records and inventory levels. The technician will also coordinate with staff regarding equipment needs and perform deliveries as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the warehouse including cleaning and disinfecting medical equipment.
• Perform maintenance and testing of medical equipment.
• Keep accurate records of equipment and inventory levels.
• Receive, identify, and label medical equipment.
• Maintain proper storage of equipment and supplies.
• Coordinate inventory levels and communicate with HME staff.
• Maintain oxygen logs and perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Practice safe body mechanics when transporting and setting up equipment.
• Adhere to safety and security policies and procedures.
• Load and unload equipment safely for delivery.
• Report equipment or patient issues to the immediate Supervisor.

Requirements

• Ability to perform cleaning and maintenance of medical equipment.
• Computer literacy for accurate maintenance entries.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Knowledge of safety and security policies and procedures.
