About the position

The DMV Customer Service Technician role at the Virginia Beach Buckner Customer Service Center is a part-time position focused on providing excellent customer service and support in various DMV-related transactions. The position involves handling customer inquiries, processing applications, issuing IDs, and conducting vehicle registrations and titling. Responsibilities

  • Handle various customer transactions including communicating policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Issue IDs and process applications.
  • Administer vision, driver, and in-car road tests.
  • Process vehicle registrations and titling, and tax collection.
  • Provide other DMV related services.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using a personal computer or other automated systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work Monday to Friday and Saturday.
  • Strong organizational, time management, problem solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in completing assignments on time.
  • Ability to lift 10 - 25 pounds.
