About the position

The DMV Operations Specialist at Tesla is a key member of the Delivery Operations team, responsible for facilitating vehicle registration transactions and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately. This role involves collaboration with various departments and external parties, with a focus on maintaining data quality and staying updated on vehicle tax and registration regulations. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, as it operates from Tuesday to Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with Sales and Delivery Specialists to ensure that all required documents pertaining to the transaction are complete and accurate.
• Processes DMV registrations related to sales, as well as for Tesla-owned vehicles.
• Records information and ensures data quality in multiple record keeping systems including but not limited to WDO and Online Registration Systems.
• Serves as an authority on vehicle tax and registration rules by geography, keeping abreast of changes and communicating them to the team in a timely manner.
• Participates in testing of new and updated forms and processes.
• Assists with special projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
• Ability to work independently and think creatively with a proven track record of execution.
• Ability to adapt to frequent change and have attention to detail under tight deadlines.
• Willingness to work on a flexible schedule, including weekends, according to activity volume.
• Ability to work across multiple systems; experience with Dealertrack or DLRDMV is a plus.
