The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking to hire a professional individual to serve as a Program Support Technician in the Data Integrity Work Center. This high-volume DMV unit is responsible for responding to a variety of requests from both internal and external customers. The technician will engage with Customer Service Center employees and other stakeholders through various communication channels, including telephone, written correspondence, fax, and email. The role requires performing all duties and processes as mandated by the work unit, ensuring that customer inquiries are handled efficiently and effectively. In addition to general customer service responsibilities, the technician will also respond to VRWA phone calls from treasurer offices throughout Virginia regarding personal property tax stops. DMV, headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, serves approximately 6.2 million licensed drivers and ID card holders, managing over 8.4 million registered vehicles. The agency also caters to a diverse range of businesses, including dealers, fuel tax customers, rental companies, driving schools, and various government entities. The ideal candidate will possess a working knowledge of business English, mathematics, and office operating practices, including filing systems and office equipment.
