About the position

The DMV Services Manager 3 is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, developing, and implementing a variety of services and programs within the Department of Motor Vehicles. This managerial role involves training and supervising subordinate supervisors, developing policies and procedures, and allocating resources to achieve departmental goals. The incumbent will oversee recruitment, monitor contracts, assist with budgetary issues, and ensure the quality and effectiveness of services provided to customers as part of the Department Transformation Effort (DTE).

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, coordinate, develop, and implement DMV services and programs.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of subordinate supervisors.
  • Develop policies and procedures for the department.
  • Allocate staff and resources to meet departmental goals.
  • Oversee recruitment processes and monitor Master Service Agreement contracts.
  • Assist with budgetary issues and legislative reporting.
  • Develop Requests for Proposals and participate in the selection process.
  • Review and track deliverables for projects and programs.
  • Test, implement, and provide training for new projects and programs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, or a related field and four years of professional experience in program development or implementation, including two years at a supervisory level; OR high school diploma and eight years of relevant experience, including two years at a supervisory level; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of personnel rules, regulations, and principles applicable to hiring, training, evaluation, and discipline of staff.
