About the position

NeedTags is seeking a DMV Title Clerk to join our dynamic team in North Hollywood. As an authorized online vehicle titling and registration service provider for the California Department of Motor Vehicles, we are committed to providing exceptional service to our clients. The DMV Title Clerk will be responsible for a variety of administrative and office support tasks related to vehicle registration documentation. This includes processing vehicle registration renewals, title transfers, duplicate titles, and registration replacements. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent customer service skills, and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will be expected to process DMV vehicle registrations while adhering to all necessary requirements and procedures. You will also research and resolve any vehicle registration and title issues that may arise. It is crucial to submit all legal transfer and registration work electronically to the DMV and to meet company timelines for all transactions. Additionally, you will be responsible for responding to customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner, whether they come through online channels or over the phone. The DMV Title Clerk will also prepare outgoing deliveries using services such as USPS, FedEx, UPS, and GSO. Other essential tasks include performing secretarial duties such as word processing, filing, copying, mailing, and answering phone calls. You will have the opportunity to cross-train other team members to handle daily responsibilities related to title and registration clerking. Maintaining a professional appearance and a tidy work area is also expected in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Process DMV vehicle registration, following proper requirements and procedures
  • Research vehicle registration and title issues, and resolve matters
  • Submit all legal transfer and registration work electronically to the DMV
  • Meet company timelines for all DMV transactions
  • Respond to customers in a professional and timely manner (online & phone)
  • Prepare all outgoing deliveries, e.g. USPS, FedEx, UPS, GSO
  • Perform secretarial tasks such as word processing, filing, copying, mailing, and answering calls
  • Cross-train others to handle title and registration clerk daily responsibilities
  • Maintain a professional appearance and a neat work area

  • Bi-lingual (preferred)
  • Clean background (must pass DOJ Live Scan)
  • DMV Title Clerk experience required
