About the position

The DoD Process Analyst for Defense Procurement and Operations is a full-time consultant role focused on supporting federal government clients, specifically within the Department of Defense (DoD). The position involves researching, preparing, and delivering high-quality solutions to complex problems that impact client operations. The analyst will work collaboratively within a team to develop functional requirements, map processes, and create deliverables that enhance decision-making and operational efficiency. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage tasks independently while contributing to team objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Research, prepare, and deliver high-quality solutions for federal government clients.
  • Complete tasks independently and begin leading others in task completion.
  • Earn client trust through timely and effective deliverables that support decision-making.
  • Understand and write functional requirements, map processes, and develop briefings.
  • Independently manage time to complete assigned tasks and contribute to team efforts.
  • Build reusable process assets, templates, and tools to improve service consistency.
  • Support business development by researching customer needs and competitive environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, statistics, information systems, or related discipline.
  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience working with large data sets to identify trends and diagnose inconsistencies.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel for creating pivot tables, graphs, and automating data transformation.
  • Experience formulating communications strategies in large organizations.
  • Experience with MS SharePoint for creating interactive web pages for collaboration.
  • Ability to document functional requirements and user stories in an agile environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD SECRET or Public Trust security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Direct experience with Defense procurement processes, data, or systems.
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization tools.
  • Experience with MS Access, SQL Server, or Oracle for managing large data sets.
  • Experience linking MS SharePoint with database tools for decision-support dashboards.
  • Experience writing and maintaining ETL processes and protocols.
  • Experience explaining data visualizations to non-technical audiences.
  • Active DOD SECRET or Public Trust security clearance.
