About the position

The Specialist, Integration Test / Engineering position at L3Harris Technologies is designed for transitioning service members through the DoD SkillBridge program. This role focuses on providing valuable civilian work experience in engineering tasks related to antenna range testing, including signal development, equipment design, and integration of test equipment. The position aims to bridge the gap between military service and civilian careers by offering industry-specific training and hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and control engineering tasks associated with antenna range testing.
  • Evaluate current test equipment and make recommendations for future expansion.
  • Coordinate test activities and resolve engineering design issues.
  • Perform measurements using software data analysis tools, network analyzers, multimeters, and other electronic and RF equipment.
  • Act as the technical lead in support of antenna range testing efforts for assigned programs and equipment.
  • Ensure technical performance of the program and act as the technical interface to the Program Management Office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • A degree in Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline is strongly desired.
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience is required.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Must have engineering experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven mathematical problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in RF theory.
  • Experience in test system definition, system development, integration, and test activities.
  • System interface definition and control experience.
  • Hardware and software development, repair, and maintenance skills.
  • Customer and program management interface experience.
  • Proven technical ability in testing of ELINT/COMINT systems.
