About the position

The Senior Industrial Design Engineer will take ownership of complex projects, driving timelines and executing final deliverables while collaborating with various teams. This role requires a balance of design and engineering tasks, customer interaction, and the ability to provide installation instructions. The engineer will also contribute to the technical design team's skills and deliver design documentation using SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of complex projects and drive timelines.
• Organize information and communicate key milestones.
• Execute final deliverables and provide installation instructions, both video and 2D requirements.
• Assist on supporting both design and engineering tasks to balance workloads.
• Collaborate with creative and marketing teams to stay on brand.
• Understand typical manufacturing methods to offer competitive design solutions.
• Perform value engineering of existing product offerings to improve margin.
• Contribute to engineering direction and deliver ideas to explore with the team.
• Assist in the development of the technical design team's project skills.
• Deliver design decks and quotation level documentation to customers using SolidWorks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in design engineering, engineering, product design, or a combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in product design and manufacturing.
• SolidWorks 3D CAD or other computer-aided industrial design (CAID) software required.
