About the position

Illinois Department of Corrections is seeking to hire an Office Associate for the Clinical Services Department located at Decatur Correctional Center. The ideal candidate is an individual who can multitask and prioritize daily duties. They will handle reports and records that are highly confidential, with sensitive information in a diverse agency. Responsibilities

  • Provides clerical office support as a secretary to a unit supervisor and professional staff in the Clinical Services Department.
  • Keyboards complex charts, statistical reports, documents, forms, memoranda, and letters including medical and psychological terminology.
  • Directs filing of office records.
  • Performs functions necessary on LAN, i.e., Individual in Custody Data Summaries, correspondence, monthly reports, and other necessary documents related to Clinical Services Department.
  • Serves as receptionist.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and two (2) years of office experience.
  • Requires the ability to keyboard accurately at 45 wpm.
