The Purchasing Manager for the Department of Corrections serves as the lead business professional overseeing procurements of commodities and equipment for the Department. This role is crucial in determining the appropriate purchase methods through the state contract utilizing the automated purchasing system for direct vendor solicitations. The Purchasing Manager is responsible for approving orders prior to submission to Central Management Services and overseeing staff in the procurement process. In this role, the Purchasing Manager will plan, coordinate, direct, and manage the procurement of goods and services.
