About the position

The 2nd Shift Doc Auditor is responsible for performing inspections of purchased and processed parts, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and production standards. This role involves auditing finished goods, managing nonconforming materials, and assisting in problem-solving efforts within the production environment. The auditor is also tasked with data entry and report management, while maintaining a collaborative and respectful workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming inspection of purchased and outside processed parts.
  • Verify parts through visual checks, labels, container conditions, and packaging.
  • Reject nonconforming parts and notify vendors as necessary.
  • Conduct dock audits on finished goods to ensure compliance.
  • Understand and apply customer requirements for labeling and packaging.
  • Assist in product certification and address customer complaints.
  • Participate in problem-solving teams and collaborate with Production, Maintenance, and Tool & Die members.
  • Control material flow for conforming and nonconforming items and follow up on nonconformities.
  • Enter audit reports into the system and manage filing and control of these reports.
  • Stop manufacturing processes when nonconforming issues are identified.
  • Cross-train and perform shipping duties as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Quality inspection experience.
  • 1-2 years of manufacturing experience at LPIO.
  • Basic computer skills.
