As a Dock Coordinator at Newell Brands, you will play a crucial role in supporting the distribution operations to enhance production performance on the shipping dock. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain and maximize productivity, quality, and service objectives. You will be tasked with managing the workflow by utilizing the Work in Progress report to visualize work distribution and ensure that all loads are prioritized effectively. This position requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with various team members, including loaders, supervisors, and console operators, to ensure smooth operations. In your daily activities, you will access the PKMS system to monitor the status of various loads, including mega waves and container loads. You will be responsible for providing loaders with a prioritized list of tasks, ensuring that the oldest loads are completed first. Additionally, you will need to investigate any missing products by checking the PKMS system and physically locating the items on the floor. Your role will also involve coordinating with the yard jockey or SMBK driver to manage the movement of trailers and containers in and out of the dock. You will be expected to maintain clear communication with team leads and supervisors regarding the status of loads and any issues that arise. This includes ensuring that trailer paperwork matches the physical contents and signing off on completed loads in the PKMS system. Your analytical skills will be essential in monitoring the flow of operations and strategizing with your team to correct any imbalances.
