About the position
The Dock Hand at Carefree Boat Club is responsible for providing excellent service to members while ensuring the smooth operation of dock activities. This role involves assisting members with their boats, maintaining cleanliness, and performing inspections to ensure safety and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Be attentive to members while they are on the dock to enhance their experience and potentially earn tips.
- Understand and manage the reservation system effectively.
- Assist members in loading dock carts and transporting their belongings to and from their boats, which may involve lifting items up to 50 lbs.
- Record members' gas usage accurately.
- Inspect boats after members return to check for any new damages.
- Clean and maintain boats by spraying down the exterior, flushing engines, scrubbing decks, and cleaning dashboards and cupholders.
- Take boats to the gas docks for refueling.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, while also having access to an air-conditioned office and free water bottles.
