About the position

The Dock Hand position at F3 Marina involves maintaining and repairing docks, ensuring the safe mooring of boats, and assisting with general operations at the marina. This role requires providing excellent customer service to boat owners and visitors while engaging in various maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lawn care. Ideal candidates should have a background in general repair and maintenance, along with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform dock maintenance and repair tasks.
• Ensure the safe mooring of boats.
• Assist in coordinating the arrival and departure of boats.
• Dispense fuel to boats.
• Engage in general building and grounds maintenance, including cleaning restrooms and lawn care.
• Provide outstanding customer service to boat owners and visitors.
• Complete general repair and maintenance projects as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months of experience in a similar role (preferred).
• Ability to obtain and maintain required licenses and certifications.
• General knowledge of marina operations, including boat lifting and handling.
• Proven skills in VHF communication, first-aid, and fire-fighting procedures.
• Proficiency in swimming and a valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

• Certificate trained or experienced in a relevant trade (e.g., electrical or mechanical engineering, carpentry, fabrication).
