Responsibilities
- Assist with the loading and unloading of cargo from vessels, trucks, and other transportation vehicles.
- Operate rigging equipment and machinery safely to facilitate the movement of goods.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on dock equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate docking schedules and cargo handling.
- Maintain a clean and organized dock area, always adhering to safety protocols.
- Monitor weather conditions and report any hazards that may affect operations.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety, security, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dock environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
