About the position

The DOCSIS Architect position involves research, architecture, and engineering activities to enhance the company's telecommunications hardware, software, and services. The role requires collaboration with product, engineering, and operations teams to develop technical requirements for new products and services, as well as delivering proof-of-concepts to demonstrate proposed technologies.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for research, architecture, and engineering activities that maintain and enhance the company's telecommunications hardware, software, and services.
• Collaborates with product, engineering, and operation teams to create technical requirements for newly proposed products and services.
• Delivers proof-of-concepts that demonstrate the proposed technologies and works with teams to deploy these technologies.
• Manages vendors with products and service deliverables based on business requirements and internal customer requests.

Requirements

• High level of HFC DAA, DOCSIS, and PON knowledge.
• Experience in system architecture and testing that enables the successful creation of system requirement documents, design documents, migration strategies, strategic roadmaps, and proof of concepts.
• Show track record of leadership and innovation via previously published technical papers and granted patents.
• Ability to clearly communicate in writing as well as verbally, properly represent the company in network communities, and write technical papers for conferences in the cable industry.

Nice-to-haves

• Deep knowledge in RF technology and DOCSIS PHY specifications.
• Experience with MAC technologies and DOCSIS MULPI & OSSI specifications.
