About the position

The DOCSIS QA Tester role involves developing and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications. This position requires leading test efforts, both onshore and offshore, and acting as a subject matter expert in DOCSIS technology. The tester will be responsible for writing test cases, automating tests, and executing them in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality outcomes for complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute formal test plans to ensure quality software delivery.
• Involved in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, and test case automation.
• Lead onshore and offshore teams as a test lead.
• Act as a subject matter expert for a single program/system.
• Deliver quality process training to technical staff and act as an internal quality consultant.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in a QA role or similar.
• Experience with DOCSIS Cable modem technology and understanding of DHCP and DNS testing.
• Proficient in using HP Test Suite or other testing tools.
• Ability to lead a team through effective delegation, training, and motivation.
• Ability to track multiple test efforts simultaneously and synthesize results in a fast-paced environment.
