About the position

The DOCSIS QA Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality of software applications through the development and execution of formal test plans. This role involves test planning, writing test cases/scripts, automating tests, and executing them. The tester will lead complex projects and serve as a subject matter expert, providing quality process training and consulting to technical staff and business partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute formal test plans to ensure quality software applications.
• Involved in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, test case automation, and test execution.
• Work on high complexity projects within multiple development environments as a test lead.
• Lead onshore and offshore teams, acting as a subject matter expert for a single program/system.
• Deliver quality process training to technical staff and act as an internal quality consultant.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in a QA role or similar.
• Experience with DOCSIS and cable modem technology.
• Knowledge of DHCP and DNS.
• Proficient in testing methodologies and tools, specifically HP Test Suite.
• Ability to lead a team through effective delegation, training, and motivation.
• Ability to track multiple test efforts simultaneously and synthesize results in a fast-paced environment.
