About The Position

The Document Control Specialist at Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers will assist in managing engineering documents in compliance with government and company regulations for various design projects. This entry-level position is integral to ensuring the effective distribution and quality control of engineering documentation, contributing to the overall success of design-build projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, information management, information technology, data management, or computer information systems preferred.
  • 1+ years' experience with advanced knowledge of operational procedures and tools.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with effective organization and coordination skills.
  • Ability to identify and utilize correct tools, systems, and techniques for document control.
  • Ability to remain flexible with changing requirements.
  • Ability to multi-task and proactively resolve issues.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with software such as Bluebeam, Adobe Pro, or Smartsheet.
  • Familiarity with EDMS like InEight Document, SharePoint, ProjectWise, Aconex, or Documentum.
  • Knowledge of construction and engineering-related terms.
  • Understanding of design build, progressive design build, and CMGC/CMAR contract models.
  • Knowledge of Bluebeam Studio for comment resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Support and assist in the management of engineering documents according to regulations and procedures.
  • Process internal and external distribution of engineering documentation on incoming and outgoing workflows.
  • Prepare transmittals for document distribution as directed.
  • Review and conduct quality checks of documents as needed.
  • Configure, update, and maintain engineering document management systems and permissions.
  • Update and maintain various distribution matrixes.
