As a Document Editor at ManTech International, you will play a crucial role in supporting the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard by converting and editing technical Combat Systems Operational Sequencing System (CSOSS) procedures and drawings. This position is based in Chesapeake, VA, and is integral to ensuring that the documentation meets the high standards required for military operations. Your responsibilities will include applying redlines to XML formatted procedures and drawings, ensuring compliance with strict editing standards. You will also perform Quality Assurance checks on these documents to verify that they adhere to the required guidelines. The role demands strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a keen attention to detail, to ensure that all technical documents are accurate and up to date. You will collaborate closely with team members and validators who have recently visited updated ships, deciphering redlines and changes made to technical procedures and drawings. This position requires effective communication skills, both written and verbal, as you will be interacting with co-workers, management, and customers through various channels. Your ability to work well in a team environment is essential, as you will be part of a collaborative effort to maintain the integrity of critical documentation for naval operations.

Responsibilities

  • Convert and edit U.S. Navy and Coast Guard technical CSOSS procedures and drawings.
  • Apply redlines to XML formatted procedures in accordance with strict editing standards.
  • Apply redlines to drawings in accordance with strict editing standards.
  • Decipher redlines on technical procedures and drawings made by validators.
  • Perform Quality Assurance checks on procedures and drawings to ensure compliance with editing standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of office administration or Naval business administrative experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with office communication and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working well in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1+ years of experience with Navy Maintenance databases, especially Maintenance and Ship Work Planning (M&SWP).
  • Experience applying redlines to XML formatted procedures in accordance with strict editing standards.
  • Experience applying redlines to drawings in accordance with strict editing standards.
  • 1+ years experience deciphering redlines on technical procedures and drawings made by validators.
