The Document Imaging Specialist at SAIF plays a crucial role in processing and organizing important workers' compensation documents. This position requires strong organizational skills to handle a high volume of mail, ensuring that claims forms, medical bills, and correspondence are accurately sorted and prepared for scanning. The role demands attention to detail, the ability to work under tight deadlines, and effective communication within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Process thousands of pieces of mail daily, including claims forms and medical provider bills.
  • Verify information and prepare documents for scanning.
  • Import data using digital scanners and optical character recognition software.
  • Check documents for accuracy, matching names with claim numbers and assigning codes.
  • Work under tight deadlines and adapt to shifting duties from day to day.
  • Communicate effectively with teammates, providing and receiving feedback.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two years of successful clerical experience emphasizing data entry and document processing.
  • Experience in a fast-paced production environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with workers' compensation insurance documents is a plus.
  • Prior scanning experience is preferred.
