About the position

The Documentation Quality Assurance Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring that electronic medical records (EMR) and database records comply with regulatory standards and internal quality control practices. This position involves reviewing and monitoring documentation to identify deficiencies and discrepancies, and it serves as a support function for the agency's electronic health management system. The analyst will provide operational and training support to staff, ensuring that all documentation procedures are adhered to and that data entry is timely and accurate. In this role, the analyst will be responsible for reviewing client and account source services and forms within the database, resolving discrepancies through standard procedures, and flagging incomplete documents for resolution by primary staff or supervisors. The analyst will also verify entered client and account data through audits to ensure that correct codes and funding sources are utilized. Collaboration with team members is essential for collecting and analyzing data, and maintaining inter- and intradepartmental workflow is a key responsibility. The analyst must foster a spirit of cooperation and maintain professional relationships with all persons served, demonstrating a commitment to person-centered care and recovery-oriented approaches. Additionally, the analyst will complete all other duties and special projects as assigned, adhering to the Lightshare Mission and Pillars, which emphasize compassion, acceptance, respect, empowerment, and stewardship. Responsibilities

  • Review and monitor EMR/database records to ensure compliance with regulations and internal quality control practices.
  • Provide operational and training support to staff regarding the electronic health management system (EMR).
  • Review client and account source services and forms in the database for deficiencies and resolve discrepancies using standard procedures.
  • Monitor staff entry into the database for timeliness and accuracy, ensuring adherence to documentation procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with computerized data systems, preferably electronic health record systems.
  • Strong people skills to provide excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines.
