The DOD Acquisition Program Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing program management services in alignment with contract requirements and the company's established policies, procedures, and guidelines. This position is pivotal in ensuring that all aspects of the program are executed efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall success of DOD IT programs. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of the DOD Acquisition Framework and the ability to navigate complex environments while maintaining a focus on results and team collaboration. In this position, you will be responsible for developing governance documentation that supports both current and new processes. This includes authoring essential acquisition documents such as Performance Work Statements (PWS), Statements of Work (SOWs), Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), and Requests for Information (RFIs) that are critical for market research related to DOD IT programs. You will also draft, edit, and present programmatic documents and Program Management Review (PMR) charts up to the General Officer/Program Executive Officer (GO/PEO) level, ensuring that all communications are clear and professional. Your responsibilities will extend to writing and briefing on professional-level risks and issues, developing program costs, schedules, and performance metrics, and gathering customer requirements and use cases. Analyzing system requirements and assisting in their documentation will also be part of your role, as will creating support artifacts that align with business requirements. This multifaceted position requires a blend of technical knowledge, project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams to achieve consensus and drive decisions.
