About the position

The Cloud Security Engineer position at Associates Systems LLC focuses on ensuring the security and integrity of cloud environments. The role requires extensive experience in cloud technologies, particularly AWS and Azure, and involves deploying and managing Kubernetes, as well as utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming and the ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the security and integrity of cloud environments.
• Deploy and administer Kubernetes clusters.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Debug networking issues related to cloud deployments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.
• 7-9 years of relevant cloud experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 5-7 years with a Master's degree.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
• Experience with AWS or Azure.
• Experience deploying and administering Kubernetes.
• Experience with IaC/CaC technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Salt.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Node/Javascript.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift or Rancher.
• Active DoD security clearance.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with networking, especially with debugging connection issues.
