About the position
The Dog Stop in Monroeville is seeking part-time Doggie Day Care Companions to ensure the safety, happiness, and entertainment of dogs during daycare hours. This role involves working flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, and requires a positive attitude and comfort with dogs of various sizes and temperaments. Training will be provided, including pet first aid and CPR, making it suitable for both experienced and novice candidates.
Responsibilities
- Keep dogs safe, happy, and entertained during daycare hours.
- Maintain the daycare area and respond to any conflicts among dogs.
- Monitor dogs for any health symptoms and inform managers accordingly.
- Engage in play and physical activities with the dogs.
- Perform cleanup and sanitization of play areas and boarding kennels.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older to apply.
- Availability to work morning, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Stamina to stand and walk for six to eight hours at a time.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in pet care (1 year preferred).
- Valid CPR Certification.
