Dog Groomer- Pet Groomer (Freelance-2 times monthly)

This role involves working closely with pets of various breeds and temperaments, ensuring they receive the highest level of care and attention during their grooming sessions. As a Pet Groomer, you will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being of pets while building lasting relationships with their owners.

Responsibilities

• Perform grooming services including bathing, clipping, and styling according to breed standards and client preferences.
• Handle and restrain animals safely and effectively during grooming procedures.
• Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs and grooming options.
• Stay informed about the latest grooming techniques, styles, and trends to offer clients the best service possible.
• Assist with pet sitting or care as needed, ensuring all animals are well-cared for in a safe environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in pet grooming or related fields such as veterinary technician or veterinary assistant is preferred.
• Strong skills in animal handling, including dog training and equine experience is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or multiple pets.
• Knowledge of pet care practices, including proper bathing techniques and coat maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills to interact positively with both pets and their owners.
• A compassionate nature with a genuine love for animals is essential.
• Certification in animal restraint techniques is beneficial but not mandatory.
