About the position
The Dog Kennel Technician at OC Dog Ranch is responsible for the care and maintenance of dogs and other animals on a beautiful 5-acre ranch located in the Cleveland National Forest. This full-time position involves exercising, feeding, and monitoring the health of dogs, as well as performing cleaning and maintenance tasks. The role requires physical fitness and a love for working with animals of various sizes and breeds.
Responsibilities
- Bathing dogs
- Taking dogs out to exercise and watching them while they play
- Cleaning up after the dogs
- Cleaning kennel areas
- Feeding and medicating dogs
- Conducting daily health checks
- Performing light yard maintenance such as cleaning the pool, pulling weeds, and disinfecting play areas
Requirements
- Must be comfortable with the drive on Ortega Highway 74, a mountain road
- Must have a driver's license and own a reliable vehicle
- Be punctual
- Have good customer service skills
- Self-motivated and able to work well with others as well as independently
- Must be available to work Friday/Saturday and holidays
