They will also be expected to assist in other areas of the facility as needed, collaborating with animal care attendants and the customer service team to improve overall service and client satisfaction. The Dog Trainer will play a crucial role in building strong, trusting relationships with both new and existing clients, helping them to foster a better bond with their canine companions. Responsibilities

  • Adhere to company methods, curriculums, and training philosophy.
  • Work with training dogs for multiple sessions per day.
  • Speak to clients about Pet Palace policies, procedures, and dog training packages/options.
  • Follow all policies and procedures.
  • Assist in other areas of the facility as needed, including working with animal care attendants and customer service team.
  • Multi-task between training dogs, documenting training sessions, and making client phone calls.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with new and existing clients.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Schedule availability as early as 7:00 AM and/or as late as 8:00 PM, including some weekends.
  • Previous dog training experience and knowledge of dog behavior, certification preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Solid understanding of dog behavior and body language.
  • Comfortable working with dogs on basic obedience and manners, enrichment, and behavior concerns.
  • Basic computer navigation skills and PC knowledge.
  • Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently.

  • Well versed in all training methodology and theory.
  • Passionate about helping clients build a stronger bond with their canine companions.
  • Capability of handling dogs upwards of 100+ pounds.
