About the position

Wagnificent Pet Care, LLC is seeking a dedicated and loving animal caretaker to join their team as a Dog Walker/Pet Sitter. This part-time position involves caring for various pets while their owners are at work or on vacation, ensuring their well-being and providing companionship. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends, with hours varying between 15 to 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to the pet's feeding schedule.
• Administer medications as per instructions, ensuring timely and correct dosages.
• Clean pet food and water bowls, and maintain the pet's living area.
• Engage in play and exercise activities suited to the pet's energy level.
• Provide comfort and companionship to the pet, maintaining a consistent routine.
• Clean up after pets, including accidents and messes.
• Ensure the pet's safety and security in the home, checking for hazards.
• Send regular updates and photos to the pet owner, informing them of any concerns.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Willing to work some nights and weekends.
• Must have a high school degree or higher.
• Comfortable with many different animals and breeds of dogs.
• Ability to follow instructions and be punctual.
• Live within one of the service areas (Germantown, Montgomery Village, Clarksburg, Gaithersburg).
• Willing to make at least a 6 month commitment to the company.

Nice-to-haves

• Willingness to host animals in your own home or stay overnight in clients' homes.
