Paws Bark Play L.L.C. is seeking a dependable and motivated dog walker/pet sitter to join their team in Norwalk, CT. This role involves providing pet sitting and dog walking services, allowing individuals to work with a variety of breeds and animals in a flexible and fun environment. Ideal for those looking to supplement their income or re-enter the workforce, this position offers the opportunity to engage with pets while enjoying the outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Visit clients' homes 1-4 times per day to walk, feed, and care for pets while their owners are away.
• Spend the night in clients' homes for overnight/house sitting, including plant care and mail collection as needed.
• Walk dogs in the neighborhood, trails, beach, or park while their owners are at work.

Requirements

• Must genuinely love animals and enjoy being around them.
• Be physically fit and able to work in all types of weather.
• Comfortable disposing of pet waste and cleaning up after pets.
• Have a reliable vehicle with current insurance and a valid driver's license.
• Clean driving record and able to arrive at client homes on time.
• Able to provide a current and clean background check.
• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
• Reside within lower Fairfield County.
• Smartphone (preferably newer) for communication.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledgeable on dog and cat behavior and needs.
• Good interpersonal skills to build rapport with pet owners.
• Ability to identify and address potential health problems in pets.
• Experience with basic medication administration (training provided).
