Dog Walker Wanted - Looking for Fun, Responsible Animal Lover!

About the position

Vallejo Pet Services is seeking a fun and responsible dog walker to join our team in the Vallejo/Benicia area. This role involves walking up to 2 energetic dogs at a time, providing daily walks, dog park excursions, hiking adventures, and overnight pet-sitting services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for dogs, be punctual, and maintain a high level of personal responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Walk up to 2 energetic dogs at a time.
• Provide daily walk reports and photos to clients.
• Transport 1-2 dogs in your car safely.
• Monitor and report any changes in the dogs' behavior or health.
• Engage in dog park excursions and hiking adventures.
• Offer overnight pet-sitting services when needed.

Requirements

• Current or former dog-owners preferred, but extensive experience with dogs is welcome.
• Must be punctual and on-time for all walks.
• Own transportation is required for transporting dogs.
• Physically capable of walking 3-7 hours each day.
• Ability to control excitable dogs on leash.
• Friendly personality with customer service experience is a plus.
• Tech-literate to use the smartphone application for messaging clients and taking photos.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with overnight pet-sitting (8pm to 8am).
• Availability during holidays.
• Regular, consistent availability (e.g., MWF 10am-5pm).
