We are seeking a responsible and passionate individual to join our team as a Dog Walker and Pet Sitter. The ideal candidate will have experience in animal care, particularly dogs and cats, and will provide a safe and enjoyable experience for our furry friends. Responsibilities
- Walk dogs of varying sizes and breeds
- Provide a safe and enjoyable experience for dogs in their care
- Administer medication and provide any special care as needed
- Monitor dogs for any signs of illness or distress
- Provide exercise and mental stimulation for dogs
- Keep records of dog walks and care
- Communicate with dog owners about their pets' needs and behavior
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Perform heavy lifting and bending as needed
Requirements
- Experience in animal care, particularly dogs and cats
- Knowledge of dog behavior and training
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong customer service skills
- Familiarity with veterinary care and assistance
- Comfortable with equine animals
- Ability to handle pets of various sizes and temperaments
- Reliable transportation and a clean, safe vehicle
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a background check
