About the position
The Doggy Daycare Attendant position at Modern Pet involves caring for dogs in a fun and energetic environment. The role focuses on providing attention and care to dogs, ensuring their safety and happiness while maintaining a clean and organized play area. Attendants will work closely with teammates and have the opportunity to bring their own pets to work, making it a unique and enjoyable job for animal lovers.
Responsibilities
- Ability to work while continuously on your feet showing the dogs attention and care
- Proactively address behavior in a timely manner with approved methods
- Continually monitor dogs and keep the play areas free of messes by continual spot cleaning throughout the shift
- Follow standard cleaning procedures including proper use of chemicals to ensure a safe environment for animals and people
- Understand and follow the feeding, medication, and allergy lists to ensure that all health standards are met consistently
- Work cohesively and respectfully with your teammates
- Maintain a positive attitude and demeanor in all aspects of your position including room management and customer service
Requirements
- Dog or animal experience preferred, but not required
- Customer service experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and bend repetitively
- Ability to lift and carry dogs and equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Availability to work some weekends and holidays
