About the position
Dog-E-Den is seeking responsible and motivated dog handlers to supervise, care for, and play with canine guests at our busy dog care facility in Hollywood. This role involves physical work and requires a love for dogs, as well as the ability to handle various tasks related to dog care and facility maintenance. The position offers opportunities for advancement into supervisory roles for committed candidates.
Responsibilities
- Supervising play among dogs
- Feeding meals to dogs
- Administering medications as needed
- Washing dog dishes
- Performing general cleaning and janitorial duties
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Comfortable handling all types of dogs in a humane manner
- Flexible schedule to work nights if necessary
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Physically active for the entire shift, including long periods on feet
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and physical stamina
- Responsible, honest, patient, and prompt
- Good verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude and sense of humor
