About the position

The Domain Architect - Data and Backup Recovery at World Wide Technology is responsible for designing and implementing backup and recovery systems to ensure data protection and disaster recovery. This role requires a strong understanding of data protection principles, risk management, and the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to various stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of IT experience, focusing on backup and recovery systems.
• Proficiency in backup software (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, Veritas), storage solutions, and cloud-based backup technologies.
• Strong understanding of data protection principles, disaster recovery processes, and risk management.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, or vendor-specific certifications) are a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Project management experience is a plus.
