About the position

The Aflac Data & Integrations team is seeking a talented platform architect to join their ranks. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for analyzing the current data and integrations landscape within the enterprise, creating assessments and roadmaps to optimize and modernize our technology. This position is crucial for the development and deployment of architecture principles and standards as they relate to data and integrations within the Aflac ecosystem. The successful candidate will thrive in a work environment that values not just what we build, but how and why we build it. Leading innovation and experimentation through mentoring and coaching teams will be a critical outcome of this role, as you will work directly with teams to help them continuously develop with the new technologies we introduce into the organization. To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong understanding of domain-specific modeling, enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and Zachman, and relevant platform expertise in areas like CRM, ERP, and E-commerce. Familiarity with integration technologies, including ESB and Middleware, as well as database technologies such as RDBMS and NoSQL, is essential. You will also need to demonstrate proficiency in domain-driven design, API design and management (e.g., Dell Boomi), cloud services and deployment models, and security and compliance within the domain context. Additionally, system performance optimization and scalability, along with experience in tools like Informatica, AWS, Snowflake, and webMethods, will be critical to your success.
